Which cut flowers have a longer life?

Some species just do better in a vase than others. But how you care for them after they're cut makes a huge difference. Budable makes it easy to remove your arrangement to change the water and keep it fresh and clean. To prolong vase life, remove excess foliage from fresh cut flowers and recut the stems under water to keep air pockets from clogging the stem. Use a clean vase with fresh water and commercial flower preservative and check the water level daily. Don't place vases with fresh-cut flowers in hot or drafty locations. Vase life can vary widely even among cultivars of the same species.
